With the exception of games where he's playable, he's fought in almost every game as a boss. He becomes something of an ally onward, shown to be immensely loyal toward those who win his respect, which is only earned by besting him in a fight. In the first game, he's a constant hindrance in Kiryu's quest, only interested in fighting him as a rival and couldn't care less about the missing ten billion yen. Majima is always eager to seek a challenge and only respects strength. In the second game Majima turns them into a (mostly) legitimate construction company, though they are no less dangerous because of it, and is talked into returning back to the Tojo Clan in the third game.
Once the captain of the Shimano family until the man's demise, the Majima Family are as loose in their allegiances as their unpredictable Patriarch. Known to be completely unpredictable and untamed, he is none the less highly respected for his skill and deceptive intelligence.
